It seems not even our style-conscious city is immune to the allure of the Ugly Sweater. Behold: the Ugly Christmas Sweater Shop, a pop-up East Dallas enterprise that has in stock, oh, about 10,000 heinous vintage cardigans, pull-overs and sweatshirts.
Housed in a former Halloween shop (appropriate, no?), owner Jeremy Turner's ironic Christmas wares range from about $23 to $53, and have proven to be quite the popular yuletide tog. Two years ago, Turner sold out of his inventory, he tells Culture Map Dallas. So last year, he stocked nearly 3,000 sweaters.
The store, located at 6333 E. Mockingbird, is open daily--until it closes for good on December 21. Go early to avoid any additional pilling.
