METROPLEX—So many restaurants, so little time. Here's the fresh quarterly update of the Eater 38, a handy guide to essential eating in DFW — from burgers and barbecue to Indian and Japanese.
FORT WORTH—Long-awaited restaurant AF+B opened today in the ever-so-hot West 7th district, from the same restaurant group that brought you CBD Provisions, Fireside Pies, Victor Tangos and more. Some folks may recognize handsome chef Jeff Harris from his time at Craft or Bolsa, but beware the speakeasy-ish lack of signage — look for an upstairs neighbor's college football flag that marks the spot.
LOWER GREENVILLE—The owners of Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House just debuted a new spot called The Blind Butcher. The kitchen isn't fully up and running yet, but they do have lots and lots of craft cocktails and beer — even "horseshit beer," if that's what you're into.
FORT WORTH—Speaking of Fort Worth, the quarterly Heatmap was updated to reveal the 14 hottest restaurants you should be eating at right this moment. (Cowtown is apparently really fond of naming its restaurants after birds?)
