Meet Belk. Or, Where You'll Be Shopping This April

Take a little Southern comfort—no, wait, not that kind—in knowing that Belk is coming to a Galleria near you this spring. Bigwigs from the Charlotte, N.C.-based department store were recently in town to discuss the fancy new "flagship" they are building in the former Saks Fifth Avenue space.

While fans of the store (known by its slogan "Modern Southern Style") may be familiar with its Fort Worth Alliance, Flower Mound, Rockwall or McKinney locations, this new venue will be different in that it's not a standalone, and that it's massive at 180,000 square feet.

As for its merchandise? Think mid-priced enjoyable brands like Michael Kors, Nicole Miller and Cynthia Rowley...and lots of sales. We likey.
