It's easy to get winded these days, walking down Knox Street. And, no, it's not 'cause we just finished a Katy Trail-adjacent jog. Suddenly, the area has got some pretty, pretty good shopping. In addition to urban-chic Steven Alan joining the mix, last year also saw the otherworldly Planet Bardot setting up shop on this virtual Rue de Rivoli.
Amid the same strip that houses the massive Apple and Renovation Hardware stores, the small boutique is just as audacious, thanks to its effervescent mix of labels. From trendy Rebecca Taylor dresses ($495) and sweaters ($325) to a darling appliquéd-zippered Robert Rodriguez sweatshirt ($245), the inventory skews mature-contemporary, in the best sense. Ray-Ban aviators and Giles & Brother jewelry help to accessorize the space, which is currently holding a 30 percent off sale of selected merchandise like Rich & Skinny jeans and Subtle Luxury cashmere tops.
