Has your heart rate gone back to resting since learning about REI this morning, northeast Tarrant County-ers? Then prepare yourself for another (retail) adrenaline surge: Park Village's boutique grocer is none other than Greensboro, N.C.-based The Fresh Market, which will open its first store in DFW at the Southlake shopping center.
The Woodmont Co.'s Peter Jacobsen told Racked Dallas today that the store will be approximately 20,000 square feet, and similar to Whole Foods Market in scope, if not size. The Fresh Market first made the push into Texas when it purchased four Rice Epicurean Markets in the Houston area last year.
In other exciting Park Village news, Jacobsen confirmed three other tenants: Gloria's Latin Cuisine, Raw Sushi and Orvis. He should know; he's the go-to man should you (or any interested parties) have leasing inquiries in the project, which is approximately 60 percent full and opens this fall.
