Tarrant County outdoor enthusiasts, take heart: REI is bringing its brand of rustic-wilderness love to Southlake this fall.

Park Village, the in-the-works retail center located at the southwest corner of Carroll Avenue and Southlake Boulevard, will be the location for the 22,000-square-foot-plus store. While REI has one store each in North Dallas and Plano, this will be the brand's first foray westward.

The Woodmont Co. development, already situated in a dense retail area (Southlake Town Square, Central Market and Nordstrom Rack, anyone?) is set to disclose any day now the name of a boutique grocer that will also open there. (Is it weird that Central Market will be across the street?) Expect an alluring mix of smaller retail and restaurants tba there shortly too.
