When Charlotte, N.C. boutique owner Laura Vinroot Poole couldn't unload her inventory amid a lackluster market, she created an app that would do just that.

So goes House Account, the one-year-old app that features a network of about 350 boutiques nationwide, according to The Cut, including many located in Dallas. Subscribers can follow stores for information on sales and merchandise, and the Pinterest-esque, very visual app in turn offers a direct link to store owners and managers. Forty Five Ten, Canary, Sea Elise and Mecox are among the notable stores listed.
