The rooms and public areas at the Lake Austin Spa Resort have always been perfectly lovely. But thanks to Dallas designer Julio Quinones, they've recently received quite the upgrade.

The award-winning destination spa tapped the young-gun talent—named by Metropolitan Home magazine as one of the world's best young talents—to redo 14 of their Luxury Lakeview Rooms, under the direction of the spa's owner, Mike McAdams.

"I envisioned a space that marries elements of the Texas Hill Country with the detail of a European dressmaker," McAdams says.

From silk-trimmed linen canopies to animal-friendly faux-leather-upholstered wrap-around beds, the palette is a sublimely soothing mix of taupe, teal and sage. Paired with ornate ivory sconces and a giant antique mirror, the look is evokes a French-modern feel.

In addition, Dallas artist Scott Winterrowd was commissioned to paint 14 original watercolors for the rooms.
