Every day, it seems there's a new buzzy sneaker collaboration to analyze and to go nuts about. (Ahem, Nike + Liberty.) But for those of us girls who like to skew a little more indie in our sartorial endorsements, it's refreshing to be able to claim The Office of Angela Scott as our own. The Cali transfer made it to Dallas as quick as she could, and her shoes are delightfully quirky, immensely fashionable and lusciously handmade, each collection growing and building upon the previous. One shoe in particular stands out to me in Scott's most recent collection: the Mr. Hampton in Fleur ($460). A hemp-based canvas upper, hand-dyed in California, the shoe is lined in vegetable-dyed calfskin and features a natural cork and vegetable-dyed calfskin insole. And of course, it's hand-sewn and Goodyear leather welted. Yada, yada, yada: These shoes rock. Take that, sold-out Blue Liberty Print Air Max 1 trainers.
