Fifteen years after its inception, Victory Park hardly qualifies as a shopping destination it once hoped to be. But thanks to a new developer, Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Co., the AAC-adjacent space is set to welcome lots more retail (some 19,000 square feet of it) plus a new office tower and residences. According to a recent Dallas Morning News story, construction will soon start on a small retail building on the vacant lot on Olive Street across from the arena, and shopping and office space will be added in the unfinished garage next door. In addition, sidewalks, existing retail storefronts and landscaping will be refurbished.
"We have a contractor lined up, and we are ready to go," said Lance Fair, chief operating officer of Estein & Associates and vice president of Victory Park to the paper. "In the next few weeks we could start."
