The lastest luxe boutique to hit Dallas, Balenciaga, opens its doors this morning at Highland Park Village. The ninth location for the brand in North America, the 1,150-square-foot store is the second venue to showcase its new design identity—first established at the New York flagship boutique in SoHo, created by the line's artistic director Alexander Wang in collaboration with designer Ryan Korban.

Initially stocking Spring-Summer 2014 women's ready-to-wear, the boutique will also sell a full selection of capsule, handbags and small leather goods, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, and fragrance collections. Each category is represented in discrete salons within the space to create a sense of intimacy, says the brand, and is a nod to its couture tradition.

The entry is stand-out, with an eye-catching black-and-white tiled floor, an homage to the classic tiles used by Cristóbal Balenciaga in the original couture salon at 10 Avenue George V in Paris. Other materials included in the decor include marble, limestone, forest-green suede, mirrored chrome and embroidered upholstery. Plus, shelves are lined with a "cracked resin" material, yielding a glistening, mineral effect.
