HENDERSON—The corner of Henderson and McMillan has been a bit lonely since neighborhood staple The Pearl Cup closed late last year, but Austin-based Houndstooth Coffee is shaping up to take its place.

OAK LAWN—Speaking of things from Austin, Daily Juice has just landed on Cedar Springs with cold-pressed juices and smoothies made with exotic ingredients like maca root and marine phytoplankton (really).

OAK CLIFF—The up-and-coming Sylvan Thirty development is getting a pretty deluxe-sounding Italian market-slash-cafe called Bottega Italia come December.
