A new kind of nail salon—with a California pedigree—has just opened in Preston Center. Bellacures is a franchise concept that emphasizes good hygiene, and by the looks of it, style too.
The store, just around the corner from a competitor, features floor-to-ceiling windows and the company's trademark lime and khaki palette. OPI, Essie and popular 5-free Deborah Lippmann are offered. A noted difference from other nail salons? Clients don't sit at tables for services; rather, nail techs straddle stools and perform treatments right next to you. Also, owner Michael Molayem says his salon will not offer whirlpool-type pedicures out of sanitary concerns. Which is why we're scheduling a regular pedi very soon—because an old-fashioned one will do just fine.
