Carla Sottovia, who has a number of titles at Cooper Fitness Center, has more than 20 years of experience helping individuals in the U.S. and abroad achieve personal wellness, improved fitness and overall quality of life.
"My goal is to instill the importance of fitness and wellness in clients' lives much like brushing their teeth, eating and sleeping is," Carla says on the Cooper website. "It is also to educate clients that they don't have to be an athlete in order to achieve their inner strength or personal best, and ultimately they can improve their quality of life through an active lifestyle."
A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she holds several advanced personal training certifications in areas including functional movement training and assessments, Pilates training and optimal flexibility.
The avid triathlete and runner has completed more than 50 triathlons including three Ironman distance triathlons in Hawaii, Germany and Brazil. And she holds a personal record of 3 hours and 26 minutes at the Boston Marathon.
